Abstract

950,245. Crushing &c. metal scrap. C. BILLET. July 4, 1962 [July 4, 1961], No. 25671/62. Heading B2A. Apparatus for cutting and crushing scrap metal comprises a rotor having hammers 7 and rollers 8 loosely mounted on pins 6 connecting together a series of spaced plates 5 keyed on a shaft 4, the rotor being mounted in a chamber bounded at the bottom by a grid 2 and provided at the top with a charging hopper 3. A sizing drum or screen may be disposed at the outlet below the grid 2.
