[Class 83 (i).] Hot-tops for ingot-moulds comprise segments 2 each with one or more lugs 2b to engage the top of or a recess 1b in a mould 1. The outer face of each segment may be shaped to fit the inner face of the mould and the vertical ends 2a are preferably bevelled to engage adjacent segments.
