Abstract

810,438. Ball &c. mills. BOFORS A. B. Nov. 20, 1956 [Nov. 13, 1957], No. 35385/57. Class 59 A liner for a ball or tube mill comprises helically-arranged bars 2, 3 of different thicknesses mounted side by side on the mill casing 1. The ends of the bars are inclined and secured in position by wedgeshaped ring sections 4 fastened to the mill casing by bolts 5. The sections 4 are provided with transverse recesses 4<SP>1</SP>. Some or all of the bars may be provided at each end with V-shaped recesses 6 to engage corresponding projections 7 provided on the ring sections. In a. modification, the end sections of the bars extend axially of the mill casing. The mill may also have sections with straight liner bars.
