Abstract

903,191. Reels. ETABLISSEMENTS G. DECOMBE. July 13, 1959 [July 11, 1958], No. 24066/59. Class 99(2). [Also in Group IX] The end flanges of a reel are secured together by yielding non-elastic elongated members, such as cables or chains, each of which is permanently attached to one flange. As shown, chains 2 attached to projections 5 of flange 4 pass through the drum 12 and are releasably fastened to flange 9 by engagement of nuts 15 with lugs 16. Threaded shanks 7, on which nuts 15 may be adjusted for tensioning purposes, are received in slots 10.
