Abstract

853,181. Bobbins. MEULNART, A., and M.E.P.P.S. MANUFACTURE D'ENGINS DE PRECISION POUR PECHES SPORTIVES. Jan. 28, 1958 [March 8, 1957], No. 2860/58. Class 120(3). [Also in Group VI] A spool 6 for a fishing line has a flat end wall 13 with radial lugs 14 and is removably secured to a carrier 7, having a flat end wall 16 and a plurality of locking flanges 18 spaced by the thickness of the radial lugs 14 from the end wall 16. The end wall 16 is secured to the cylindrical wall 20 of the carrier by three supporting flanges 17 which are located in the plane between the end wall 16 and the locking flanges 18. One end of each supporting flange 17 is shaped to form with the adjacent end of a locking flange 18 an arcuate notch for receiving the lugs 14 of the spool. The other ends of the supporting flanges 17 are located beneath the locking flanges 18 and form stops for the lugs 14. The spool 6 is slid over the hub 7a of the carrier and the lugs 14 passed into the arcuate notches; the spool is then rotated so that the lugs 14 are wedged between the locking flanges 18 and the end wall 16 of the carrier. The end of the fishing line is threaded through a hole 19 in a lug 14.
