Class 117 [Also in Group XVII] * A box for sorting and storing buttons and other disc-shaped articles according to their diameters is divided by partitions 2 into a series of compartments 3, and its lid 4 has a series of graduated slots 6 each communicating with a compartment. A gauge is located on the lid and consists of a rail 7 and a series of abutments 8. For sorting buttons &c., each is placed flat on the lid with its edge against the rail and moved from right to left, Fig. 1, past successive slots until it is stopped by an abutment; it is then inserted into that slot preceding that abutment. The end of the box forms a stop for buttons &c. small enough to pass the last abutment. The box may be circular and the slots located radially in its lid, and the rail may be part circular or spiral.
