Abstract
502,579. Radiants for gas - fires., RADIATION, Ltd., YATES, H. J., and STRINGER, W. L. Nov. 1, 1937, No. 29794. [Class 126] An elongated radiant comprises a plurality of separate or integral ceramic elements having inner portions b surrounded by fins a with thin outer edges. When separate, the elements have bosses on their inner portions b, which are apertured so that the elements can be threaded on a rod c, which is supported over a burner d, Fig. 1, by brackets e at its ends and at its centre by an arm g on a bracket h. The elements have radial slots i to allow for expansion and contraction. The elements be circular as shown, star-shaped, or of other shape, and may be mounted on two or more rods, each having more than one aperture for this purpose. Specification 22035 /09, [Class 75 (ii)], is referred to.
