500,692. Vacuum - cleaner pipe couplings. SCOTT & FETZER CO. May 17, 1938, No. 14664. Convention date, June 3, 1937. [Classes. 8 (i) and 99 (i)] A vacuum cleaner is provided with a dusting tool converter attachment consisting of a tube 17 to which a flexible hose 27 is connected, passed through a normally closed aperture in the front wall and provided with a rubber flange 25 which forms a seal for the fan case inlet 13. The tube 17 is provided with guide wings 20 and a spring latch 21. The brush is normally driven by a removable belt 11 from the fan shaft. Specification 406,039 is referred to.
