Abstract
499,521. Collapsable containers. BERGERIOUX, R. Sept. 28, 1937, Nos. 26295, 26296, and 26297. Convention dates, Oct. 6, 1936, Nov. 5, 1936, and March 20, 1937. [Class 66] A dispensing container comprises a permanent or rigid part 1, Fig. 2, formed with an outlet nozzle 2, and a deformable diaphragm 4 adapted to be collapsed against the permanent part by finger pressure, the parts 1, 4 being connected together at their peripheries by a seam or other joint 6 with or over which a skirt portion 5 adapted to protect the diaphragm is engaged. The skirt may be formed in two parts 9, 10, Fig. 3, screwed or otherwise fitted together, and the device may be provided with a case or cover such as 12, Fig. 4, which may have a threaded engagement with the skirt. Specifications 11102/04, 231,085, [both in Class 11], and 386,298, [Group XV], are referred to. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 describes further modified constructions, including a form shown in Fig. 7 (Cancelled) in which the joint 6 of the parts 1, 4, is gripped between a cover part 19 provided with a nozzle 20 and cap 21 and a skirt 5 to which the cover is screwed, a form in which the cover part and skirt are integral, and a container, Fig. 10 (Cancelled), arranged for use as an oil can, the lower part of the diaphragm being in this case formed with concentric folds 26. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
