Abstract
497,375. Spectacles &c. CAWDERY, W. H. June 19, 1937, No. 17134. [Class 97 (i)] An eyeglass frame is supported on the head by means of one or more curved spring strips or wires g which are connected at one end to the bridge c of the eyeglasses and pass over the crown of the head to terminate at or near the base of the skull. In the form shown; the end of the spring is provided with a tapered pin f fitting frictionally into a correspondingly tapered socket e in the bridge. Alternatively the pin and socket may be cylindrical and held in engagement by a snap fastening. The end of the spring g may be outwardly bent as at m, Fig. 2, so as to incline the plane of the lenses to the vertical.
