Abstract

[Class 139] [Also in Group XV] A toyelectric railway set includes a clock with a movement running substantially faster than that of an ordinary clock. The clock f is driven from the track circuit through an electric motor q, the clock-hands g, h set by the knob h<1> being actuated through transmission wheels and rod mechanism p from the spring-controlled armature n of the electromagnet l, the circuit of which is periodically completed through the motor q, the rotor of which drives, through gearing r, s, t, u, a non- conductive cam disc v having a conductive nose x periodically contacting with a spring contact arm w. The rate of movement of the clock-hands g, h can be changed by altering the gearing ratio.
