Abstract

495,610. Automatic control systems. BARNETT & FOSTER, Ltd., and RAYMOND, C. W. Feb. 4, 1938, No. 3612. [Class 38 (iv)] Fluid level in a liquid carbonating vessel is controlled by a relay 14 controlling an electric motor driven pump for the liquid. Electrodes 5, 7 in a gauge glass 2 are in shunt with the relay whereby it is de-energized when the level is reached. A resistance such as a neon or other discharge tube 8 is in series with main and shunt circuits of the relay, and a resistance 15 may be varied according to the conductivity of the liquid. The relay 14 may control a contactor in the motor circuit.
