593,294. Floating pump sets. JONES, D. G., and KING, J. L. May 30, 1946, No. 13721/45. [Class 110 (i)] A liquid pumping device of the self-buoyant type including a float 5 to support a prime mover 4 and a pump 8, is provided with legs 15 to support the device when it is not liquid borne and the liquid inlet to the pump is formed in the underface of an intake 13 at the lowest point of the device at a level only slightly above the ends of the legs. If the prime mover is an electric motor, the control switch may be operated by the rise or fall of the device.
