[Class 104 (ii)] [Also in Groups XVIII and XXXV] A turntable comprises a base plate 1 supporting an electric motor, of which the polepieces 13, 13<1> are carried by a cover plate 16 fixed to the base plate by screws passing through the polepieces. The spindle 9 of the turntable 11 is housed in a sleeve 6 on the plate 1, and the spindles of the armature 14 and gear train 20-24 between the motor and shaft 9 are mounted in the plate 16. The magnet 27 of the motor is supported between extensions 26 of the top and bottom polepieces 13<1>.
