Abstract

495,272. Fuel - injection pumps. HUMBOLDT-DEUTZMOTOREN AKT.-GES. Sept. 3, 1937, No. 24148. Convention date, Sept. 9, 1936. [Class 102 (i)] A fuel-injection pump comprises a piston 6 controlling the inlet 1 and having a groove 7 for controlling a byepass port 8. The byepass ports 8 are connected by valves to a passage 9 having a throttle 10 and the pressure developed in the passage 9 is transmitted to the chamber 11 containing a diaphragm 13 loaded by a spring 12 having an abutment adjusted by a lever 14. The diaphragm 13 is connected to a rack 15 for adjusting the delivery of the pump. The pressures on either side of the throttle may act on either side of the diaphragm.
