[Class 135] [Also in Group VI] In a lung-operated oxygen-supply valve for airman's breathing apparatus the valve stem 14 is formed with two collars 18, 19, between which engage the shorter arms 13 of a pair of levers 11 mounted opposite to one another and moved, through plates 7, 8, and connecting lugs 9, 10, by diaphragm walls 4, 5, of a breathing casing 1. This arrangement eliminates opening of the valve under forces, e.g. due to acceleration, tending to move both levers 11 in the same direction. The casing 1 may be cylindrical, having a horizontal axis in the position shown, and the walls 4, 5, may be covered by grids 6. A boss 2 is connected to casing 1 and carries the valve casing and oxygen cylinder connection 3 upon which is mounted a member 12<1> pivotally carrying the levers 11.
