[Class 54] In a rapid change-over valve mechanism for dry gas meters such as described in Specification 346,642, the valve - operating lever 10 carries a U-shaped resilient stirrup engaging a roller 7 on a member 6 connecting the valves. One of the limbs 8, 9 of the stirrup is bent to form a projection 12 which in one end position a of the lever 10 is above, and in the other end position b is below, the roller 7. The roller 7 is preferably of sounddamping material.
