Abstract

A battery electrode consisting of nickel and containing at least 99,4 per cent of nickel is subjected to a heat-treatment at about 1250 DEG C. in an atmosphere of hydrogen. The Specification states the maximum amounts of impurities allowable in the nickel, such impurities comprising cobalt, iron, copper, carbon, silicon, sulphur, oxygen. Specifications 365,125, 394,671, and 407,074, [all in Group XXXVI], are referred to.
