Abstract

492,840. Vehicle wheels. DUNLOP RUBBER CO., Ltd., and GOODYEAR, C. E. June 29, 1937, Nos. 18036 and 19384. [Class 144 (i)] [Also in Group XXII] A disc wheel has the body portion formed into two parts 4, 8, the part 4 being produced from strip metal rolled to flanged section and bent into an annulus and welded. One annulus forms two body parts, being symmetrical about, and circumferentially divided through,the flange 3 by which it is welded to the rim 5. The stamped centre portion 8 has punched bolt holes 7 and a bridge-bar 10 secured to diametrically opposite recesses in the flange 6 and serving to secure the fairing 11.
