Abstract

390,953. Vehicle wheels. WAGGONFABRIK AKT.-GES. and AHRENS, R., 39, Sch³tzenstrasse, both in Uerdingen, Niederrhein, Germany. April 14, 1932, No. 10755. [Class 144 (i).] A wheel for railway vehicles comprises rubber or like resilient rings 3 fitted in axial compression between a floating web 2, carrying the tyre 1, and the wheel discs 5, 6, the radially inner and after peripheries 10 of the rings 3 being clear of the metal parts of the wheel as shown. The rings 3 may be vulcanized to metal or hard rubber casings 11 having driving-projections 13 engaging recesses in the parts 2, 5, 6. The disc 6 is detachable and is formed with a lug to receive a driving-bolt 16 carried by the main disc 5.
