Abstract

212,202. Duke, H. H. Nov. 5, 1923. Spring wheels. - A wheel comprises a disc 2 of granulated cork and rubber, a canvas binder 4, rubber facings 3, and an integral tyre consisting of a base 6 and tread 8 of relatively hard rubber and a softer rubber body 7. The outer portion of the disc 2 is reinforced by fabric insertions 5, and the inner portion may be braced by hub flanges 9. The disc is preferably formed of two parts of fine granulated cork and one part of rubber with a suitable vulcanizing- agent.
