[Class 144 (ii).] A cushion tyre for bicycles and other light vehicles consists of a sponge-rubber core 1 vulcanized within a tubular rubber cover having a projecting base-portion 2 shaped to fit the wheel-rim 4, one or more helical spring rings 10 being embedded in the base 2. The latter may also be reinforced by fabric insertion 9.
