385,240. Pneumatic tyres. DUNLOP RUBBER CO., Ltd., 32, Osnaburgh Street. London, and KING, F. G. W., Fort Dunlop, Birmingham. Aug. 11, 1932, No. 22474. [Class 144 (ii).] A tread surface for pneumatic tyres, particularly designed for silence in running, comprises a series of studs spaced irregularly in a circumferential direction, the studs preferably being separated by continuous circumferential grooves. The studs may be of the same or of different area, or of the same or different shape. In a modification, the studs may form successive groups, transversely of the tyre, containing studs of similar shape but of different area.
