369,406. Pneumatic tyres. GOODYEAR TIRE & RUBBER CO., 1144, East Market. Street, Akron, Ohio, U.S.A. March 27, 1931, No. 9410. Convention date, May 31, 1930. [Class 144 (i).] In a pneumatic tyre of the kind adapted to ' be mounted directly on a hub barrel 10 comprising a wall having a braking surface 14, an air space 18 is provided between the tyre and the braking surface to reduce the transmission of heat to the tyre during braking. This air space is formed by a sleeve 16 which is mounted on the ends 13 of the barrel 10 and secured by bead-supporting rings 17 which overlap the ends 22 of the sleeve in such a manner as to provide a space 23.
