Abstract
492,747. Steam-boiler stays. MUSSNIG, V. Feb. 18, 1937, No. 4951. Convention date, Feb. 18, 1936. [Class 123 (ii)] A firebox stay has a part B, Fig. 1, screwing into the inner shell F, and a part A which is screwed at one end into the outer plate L and at the other end into the part B, the screwthreads on the ends being of the same pitch. The stay may consist of plugs screwed into threaded holes in the shell and engaging the screwed ends of a bolt or sleeve extending across the water space between the shells. The part A, Fig. 4, is secured to a socket B<1> connected to the part B by a ball joint. Specification 449,495 is referred to.
