Abstract
402.145. Supporting steam boilers. INTERNATIONAL COMBUSTION, Ltd. and GUMMER, R. H., Aldwych House, Aldwych, London. March 10, 1933, No. 7202/32. [Class 123 (ii).] In steam-drum &c. supports comprising sling rods C connected with ribs B integralwiththedrum, a ball and socket or equivalent joint O<1>-Q is interposed in the suspension of the drum. The ribs are circumferentially slotted to receive supporting plates F, the socket Q of the joint bearing against a plate Q<1> and beams I which are riveted to the plates F. A similar joint O-P may be interposed between the upper end of the sling rod and its supporting structure G.
