[Class 44] Sliding - clasp fasteners are made from a flat strip of non - metallic material with a series of apertures 4 cut therein of such shape that on bending the strip to a U -shape a series of fastener elements connected by small bridge pieces at the sides is obtained; this U -shaped strip is then mounted on the stringer tape, as by adhesive, Fig. 2, and thereafter the small bridge pieces are cut away as shown at 10, Fig. 3.
