522,167. Sliding-clasp fastenings. STEIN, M. Dec. 2, 1938. No. 35188. Convention date, Dec. 2, 1937. [Class 44] Sliding-clasp fasteners are made by threading the fastener elements along the beaded edges of the tapes the requisite spacing being obtained by threading intervening distance pieces on the tape or, as shown, the bases 10 of the elements may be suitably extended. To permit small dimension of the slider 4 the elements are formed with projecting ribs 6 guided by the slider. The elements may be of glass or other artificial material.
