495,227. Fasteners. DEHN, F. B. (Ideal Fastener Corporation) Oct. 1, 1937, No. 26653. [Class 44] The stringers of sliding-clasp fasteners are made with two beads 17, 18. The fastener elements are secured upon the lower beads and the upper beads cover the elements when closed. The elements may be secured obliquely, as shown in Fig. 3 and, when brought into parallelism in closing, move the upper beads into close contact. In one form of slider, the upper plate has portions 25, Fig. 6, which extend beyond the lower plate 13 and are turned slightly downwards. In another form there is no upper plate and the walls of lower channelled plate 27, Fig. 8, embrace the fastener elements.
