[Class 44] In a sliding clasp fastener the beaded edges 1 of the stringer tapes 2 are formed of flexible plastic material provided with grooves &c. to engage the fastening elements. The beading and tape may be formed integrally from the plastic, and the portions of the beading between the fastener elements may be wholly or partly cut away. The plastic may be a synthetic resin.
