Abstract
In a bonded abrasive article the abrasive particles comprise diamond particles and other or secondary abrasive particles having a hardness between 9 and 10 on Mohs scale and of substantially smaller average dimensions than the diamond particles. Secondary abrasive particles specified are fused alumina and the carbides of silicon, boron, tungsten and tantalum, and mixtures thereof. The total mass of secondary abrasive particles is preferably substantially greater than the total mass of diamond particles. The bond may be a heat hardenable resin which may contain lime and fillers.ALSO:In a bonded abrasive article the abrasive particles comprise diamond particles and other or secondary abrasive particles having a hardness between 9 and 10 on Mohs scale and of substantially smaller average dimensions than the diamond particles.
