Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable grinding process with excellent plane- and surface-precision by bonding grinding units to the surface of a mat bonded to the basic material of a grinder so as to give grinding performance and elasticity.
CONSTITUTION: A grinding unit 3 is formed by sticking grinder material 5 with excellent grinding performance such as borazon or diamond on a small piece (unit basic material) 4 of synthetic resin or copper alloy. On the other hand, an elastic mat 2 of urethane and the like is bonded to the end of a basic material 1 in the form of disc, link, cup or others, and a prescribed form of grinder is obtained by sticking a number of grinding units 3 on the mat 2. As for the grinder thus obtained, each grinder-material 5, supported by the elastic mat 2, applies balanced work to the work, enabling grinding process with excellent surface-precision, as well as improvement of plane-precision.
