Abstract

<PICT:0971741/C4-C5/1> An abrasive sheet comprises a film of polyvinyl chloride or polyethyleneterephthalate having a pressure-sensitive adhesive bonded to the bottom and abrasive grains anchored to the top by a resilient resin adhesive e.g. polyurethane, an acrylic resin or an epoxy resin. The abrasive may be silicon carbide, alumina, garnet, flint, emery or pumice. The upper resilient layer may be an adhesive layer with a top sizing as shown in Fig. 2. A release sheet e.g. Kraft paper, may be anchored to the bottom pressure-sensitive adhesive. Pigments or different coloured abrasives may be employed to give decorative effects.
