[Class 78 (i)] The Specification comprises stoking - apparatus for furnaces &c. embodying a feed regulating drum 4 with peripheral recesses 5 rotated by the weight of fuel dropping thereinto from a hopper 2, the rate of rotation being regulated by a pendulum- or otherwise - controlled escapement mechanism on the end of the drum spindle. The fuel falls from the pockets 5, through a tuyere 7 into the combustion chamber.
