509,654. Delivering material from hoppers; feeding to conveyers. GES. FUR FORDERANLAGEN E. HECKEL. July 23, 1938, No. 21950. Convention date, July 23, 1937. [Class 78 (i)] To maintain a regular supply of material, for example coal to a dressing plant, in spite of irregular feeding from the source of supply, the material is delivered to a hopper a and from thence passes to the pivoted buckets g of a conveyer leading to a hopper m charging the dressing plant. When there is more than sufficient material to charge the buckets, the surplus is diverted by division pieces in the hopper to side buckets h, i which for convenience may be pivoted on the same shafts as the buckets g. These buckets h, i deliver to a storage hopper n from which supplies are taken to fill the buckets g when the amount available in the hopper a is insufficient. It is stated that the means for discharging the hopper and the storage bunker may be coupled and operated by a distant control member.
