Abstract
484,513. Delivering material from hoppers. WATSON, J., and LAMB, H. T. Dec. 30, 1936, No. 35741. [Class 78 (i)] In delivery-mechanism for hoppers of the kind in which a rotary member such as a worm delivers the material into the path of an airblast, the rotary member is driven through infinitely variable gearing. Thus, the worm 7, which draws material from the hopper 6 into the path of an air-blast in the pipe 2, is driven from the shaft of the fan 3 through friction gearing 9, 10 of which the rubberfaced roller 10 is adjustable by the handoperated screwed shaft 17.
