Abstract

490,304. Typewriters. LAMSON PARAGON SUPPLY CO., Ltd., and GARWOOD, V. W. Feb. 26, 1937, No. 5824. [Class 100 (iv)] Web-guiding arrangements; carbon - sheet arrangements.-A frame mounted on the platen-carriage is provided at the top with one or more web-guiding rollers, and is provided also with a plate or apron having means for guiding the webs and a carbon set on to the platen and for arresting the carbon set. The apparatus shown in the Figure comprises standards 4 detachably secured to cross-bars 19, 20 on the carriage by means of clamps 21 and screws 23. A flanged roller 6 for guiding the webs 8 is mounted at the rear of the standards, and an apron 9 for guiding the webs and carbon set on to the platen 12 is mounted on pivots 13 on the standards. The apron is provided with a curved top 10 or a roller, and is provided also with flanges 11, 11a for guiding the webs and the top strip of the carbon set respectively. The apron is formed with web-guiding flanges and is provided with a plate 15 for arresting the carbon set. The web pack is placed on the floor or desk. Specification 469,922 is referred to.
