[Class 100 (iv)] Web feeding and guiding arrangements; carbon-sheet arrangements.-A web-pack carriage adapted to be coupled to a typewriter carriage and having, as described in Specification 385,076, a base which is supported independently of the typewriter, is provided with web-guides, and a stop for arresting a carbon-pack when the webs are pulled forwards to bring a new set of forms into position. The web-pack carriage 10 shown in Figs. 1 and 2 runs on a base 10<a> and is provided with a drum 25 having an extension or apron 27 for guiding the webs 24 and an interleaved carbon-pack 21 on to the platen 14, the spindle 59 of the drum being mounted in holes 57 in brackets 51 adjustably secured to the end plates 11 of the web-pack carriage. The lower end of the apron rests on the platen-apron 14x, a number of holes 57 being provided to permit of the spindle 59 being mounted in a position corresponding to the position of the platen in different typewriters. The brackets 51 are adjusted to set the roller parallel to the platen. The sides of the apron are bent to form web-guides 31, and flanges 33 for supporting the ends of a stop-blade 22 on the backing-sheet of the carbon-pack. A plate 35 having lips 39 is secured to the apron and is spaced therefrom by washers 34, as when the webs are pulled forwards to bring a new set of forms into position, the carbon-pack is arrested by engagement of the stop-blade 22 with the upper washers 34. The web-pack carriage is coupled to the platen-carriage by means of a grooved collar 15 which is adjustable on pin secured to a rod 13 trunnioned in the end plates 11, the groove being engaged by a slotted yoke 18 secured to the platencarriage, preferably by means of clamps 19 on the tabular-stop rack 60. The coupling can be employed for different typewriters, and is self-adjusting.
