723,666. Typewriters &c. ALDERWERKE VORM. H. KLEYER AKT.-GES. March 27, 1952 [March 30, 1951], No. 7931/52. Class 100 (4). Paper guides. - One or more paper guide fingers 6 are placed to engage the papers on a line of contact 10 of a feed roller 2 with the platen 9 to avoid a "spreading" of the papers when several are backwardly fed together. The fingers 6 may be welded directly on the lower side of a paper-guiding plate 1 by means of bent-over portions 7. The fingers pass through apertures in the plate 1 and extend into gaps 8 provided in the feed-rollers 2 for this purpose. If front feed-rollers 3 are provided they are of smaller diameter than the rollers 2 and are made of softer material so that accidental colouring of the papers by the carbon paper is avoided. The feed rollers 2 may be provided with longitudinal grooves 4.
