490,277. Casting-plants. SCHOELLERBLECKMANN STAHLWERKE AKT.-GES. May 10, 1937, No. 34606. Convention date, May 20, 1936. Divided out of 490,260. [Class 83 (i)] Casting-machines; moulds.-In a casting- machine as described in Specification 490,276, instead of a conical distributer the metal is supplied by a funnel 2 or an auxiliary ladle 14, Fig. 3, which is mounted, preferably removably, within the circle of the moulds 1. The funnel or ladle has a spout 3, preferably shaped to feed the metal in the direction of the inclination and rotation of the mould, and preferably has arms 6 to engage under the mould frame 7<1> when lifted off the driving plate 7<11>. The moulds, or the lower moulds when there is more than one tier, have projecting lips 9 which form an annular platform to receive the poured metal or this platform may be formed by an extension of the frame 7<1>. The funnel, if used, is fed from an auxiliary ladle 12 and this from a main ladle 13. Specification 490,275 also is referred to.
