490,275. Casting-plants. SCHOELLER-BLECKMANN STAHLWERKE AKT.-GES. May 10, 1937, No. 34604. Convention date, May 20, 1936. Divided out of 490,260. [Class 83 (i)] Moulds; casting-machines.-A centrifugal machine for casting bars, ingots, &c. comprises a number of inclined divided moulds 3 radially arranged and rotated about a vertical axis and filled from their outer ends by an annular duct 4 and a radial duct or ducts 2 connected to a central pouring head 1. This and the ducts may be lined with refractory material and the whole may be carried by a member 9<1> removably mounted on a base g<11> which is supported and rotated as shown. The inner ends of the moulds may be closed if vents are provided and the ducts are of a section that their contents when solid are usable also. A number of machines 17, Fig. 3, may be arranged in parallel rows to be supplied with molten metal by travelling ladles 21, 25 and set up and dismantled by travelling cranes 23, 24.
