[Class 83 (i).] Metal-pouring; mould8. -To ensure that the pressure in moulds during centrifugal casting is substantially constant, these are filled from the bottom by a central runner g and radiating ducts h. The moulds c are arranged with their greatest dimension vertical or preferably inclined as shown. Large moulds may have a number of ducts l, h, k, Fig. 5, of different form adapted to fill the parts of the mould cavity they feed in approximately equal times.
