Abstract

558,716. Casting processes. BIRMINGHAM ALUMINIUM CASTING (1903) CO., Ltd., and PRITCHARD, P. July 14, 1942, No. 9784. [Class 83 (i)] A pressure casting-machine is arranged so that metal k is delivered by air pressure to the mould gate f from which it flows by gravity into all parts of the mould cavity g below the level of the gate f, whereupon the air pressure automatically supplies hot molten metal to the solidifying casting. This pressure may also fill any part of the mould cavity above the level of the gate. The nozzle c &c. shown is fully described in Specification 558,717. Specifications 516,231 and 524,677 also are referred to.
