Abstract
373,324. Casting-machines. CRAVEN BROS. (MANCHESTER), Ltd. and GREENWOOD, J. R., Reddish, Stockport. March 20, 1931, No. 8596. [Class 83 (i).] A centrifugal casting. machine comprises a horizontal rotating table a to which is hinged at c an internally tapered ring b, which can be fixed at d by a pin tc clamp a flask or chill holding ring e to the table. The ring e has an inturned flange to hold a bottom plate g. The mould shown in Figs. 1 and 3 consists of an annular chill i, a core m, having a bottom plate and projections defining three spiral runners p, Fig. 3, extending from a central hole t, and a top plate o. The core m is positioned by projections n on the plate g. The table a has spiral cooling ribs q.
