Abstract

534,352. Moulds. ASHMORE, BENSON, PEASE & CO., Ltd., and BROWN, W. R. Feb. 2, 1940, No. 2082. [Class 83 (i)] A pig-mould has ribs 5 on its side walls 3 so that pigs cast therein may be readily broken. There may be one or more ribs 5, the bottom 9 is flat, so that the pigs may be stacked, and lugs 2 may be provided for forming a number of moulds into a chain. The ribs hinder metal poured into one end of the mould from splashing over at the opposite end.
