Casting-machines; moulds; flasks.-The metal for a dental casting is melted in a cup 11 embedded in the investment 5 and formed with a part roof 12 with depending flange 13 serving to prevent the metal from spilling on commencing rotation in a centrifugal casting machine comprising a balanced arm 8 with a hinged basket 7 containing the flask. The machine may have a horizontal axis, in which case the basket is rigidly attached to the arm. The metal enters the mould through a number of small openings 15 communicating with the main sprue 14.
