Abstract

Preparations from fresh plants or parts thereof are made by triturating the material with polysaccharides (e.g. cane or milk sugar) or sugars which do not crystallize easily (e.g. grape sugar, invert sugar, honey, d-mannose, d-fructose), and then converting the product into thread-like form by means of mincers, extrusion presses &c. and drying it. Treatment of digitalis leaves is mentioned. Specifications 441,796 and 441,805 are referred to.
