[Classes 142 (i) and 142 (ii)] Faulty shedding is detected by a finger 15, which is pivoted on a vertical pivot 12 on the shuttle and is caused by a spring 16 to contact with a warp sheet 18. If it encounters an empty space therein, it moves so that a toothed member 20 connected therewith engages the threads of the opposite warp sheet, relative movement between the shuttles and warp causing the finger and pivot to move to operate stop mechanism. Two fingers having extensions with saw-teeth may be carried one above another on a pivot 12 on the rod 6 or on the feeler of a warp jam detector, which may be of the type described in Specification 396,758. The fingers may be acted upon by separate springs or a common spring 16. The moved rod 6 engages the arm 22 of a switch 23, which may be of the type described in Specification 463,484. The shuttles or warp or both may rotate. Specification 473,196 also is referred to.
