486,483. Vacuum relief valves. BRITISH ROLA CO., Ltd., TENNY, H. S., and YOUNG, A. June 3, 1937, No. 15406. [Class 135] A vacuum relief valve comprises a casing 11 with an opening 12 on one side controlled by a plate valve 30. A spring 39 for normally maintaining the valve closed is arranged between a central bearing stud 31 on the valve member and a similar stud on an adjusting screw 36 in a cover member 14 which closes the other side of the casing. A filter gauze 27 may be arranged in the relief opening 12. The casing and cover plate may be made of aluminium alloy and the valve member 30 of a synthetic resin known under the Trade name Beatl.
