Abstract
483,320. Wireless receiving-apparatus. SCHAUB, G. VON. Oct. 16, 1936, No. 28160. Convention date, Oct 17, 1935. [Class 40 (v)] A superheterodyne receiver with two beating stages in which tuning is effected only by varying the frequency of the first oscillator is arrangedfor remote control by providing a separate housing for the first beating stage and the associated tuning circuit. The Figure shows the first beating stage V1 with an aperiodic input L1. Instead of a variable condenser C1 a variable inductance may be employed and tuning may be effected by switching in fixed capacities. The receiver may be built into a cabinet with the first beating stage at the top which may be removable to a remote point using a coupling cable with plug and socket connections. Volume or band width may be controlled from the remote point.
